Business Development Manager / Relationships Manager – Manchester (50/50 split) + travel – Digital / Web & Mobile / AR / Experiences / Social Media / Content / Software Development

We are looking for a Business Development Manager for a breakaway Digital Agency, who are part of a larger Design Agency. They are Digital Innovators who create experiences and cutting-edge products for the retail industry. The focus in on Augmented Reality (AR), Social Media (content & filters), Web & Mobile applications and web / system development. They work with world famous retail, fashion, beauty & luxury brands.

The role will focus on growing and nurturing current relationships, upselling where possible. As a breakaway agency it will involve reconnecting with the parent company’s clients and making them are of the business and the services they offer. The role will involve phone, video call, email, face to face contact with clients & prospects.

Role Overview:

  • Nurture current accounts into long-term partnerships
  • Grow existing accounts and cross-sell / upsell where possible
  • Revise & study market and competitors
  • Research new areas for expansion
  • Approach new clients / Lead Generation

There will be full support from the parent company and their sales team & Sales Director. You’ll be based in the Manchester office with the Head of Digital and the Designers, Creatives & Developers.

Skill Overview:

  • Previous experience in Business Development / BDM / Sales / Relationship Management role
  • Proven track record hitting targets
  • Knowledge of retail, fashion, beauty or luxury brands beneficial
  • An understanding of Digital, Digital Marketing, Web / Mobile / Software Development, Social Media, AR, Video Content or Marketing beneficial

Within the role there are opportunities to travel to London, Dubai, New York, Milan (amongst others) for projects and client meetings.

Salary is £40K + company performance bonus. The role is no commission based as it is focused on providing clients with the best relevant products and not selling just to hit increased revenue.
