This is an opportunity to join a forward-thinking agency with great progression opportunities who use power of strategic, integrated communications to cut through the noise and help businesses to tell their stories.

As an account manager, you’ll play a key part in that process. You’ll oversee your own portfolio of clients, mentoring junior colleagues along the way, while working with your account director to develop communications strategies for clients.

You’ll  work with the senior team to refine creative campaigns for clients across multiple sectors. Also, you'll have opportunity ­­to contribute to the day-to-day running of accounts including getting stuck into major campaigns.

As an account manager, your job will include (but will not be limited to):

  • Managing your own portfolio of accounts, acting as the day-to-day point of contact and ensuring their needs and expectations are being met 
  • Having a keen eye for what makes a great news story and identifying opportunities
  • Liaising with clients on the management of campaigns and creative projects
  • Building client and media relationships
  • Handling press enquiries including requests for comment, product information and statements
  • Writing press releases, features, comments, case studies and blogs
  • Selling-in to national, regional and trade media
  • Working with the team to develop new business and project proposals
  • Keeping abreast of industry trends including PR and social media
  • Managing and mentoring junior members of the team
  • Tracking and meeting KPIs for your accounts
  • Working with the account executive to deliver coverage and performance reports
